At Smart Tactics Inc. we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and value on every project we undertake. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may or may not be issued — and exists to protect both the client and Smart Tactics throughout every stage of our engagement.
By paying a deposit or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the terms outlined in this policy.
Deposit Policy
All projects require a 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins. This deposit covers the time, strategic thinking, research, and resources invested in your project from the moment work commences.
The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances once work has begun — including change of mind, change of business direction, or failure to provide required materials in a timely manner.
Eligible Refunds
A full refund of the deposit will only be considered if Smart Tactics has not yet commenced any work on the project and the client submits a written cancellation request before the official project start date.
In this case a refund may be reviewed and processed within 7 business days of the written request being received and approved by Smart Tactics..
Non-Refundable Circumstances
No refund will be issued under the following circumstances:
The client changes their mind after work has commenced. The client is dissatisfied with work that has been delivered within the agreed scope and brief. The client fails to provide required assets, feedback, or approvals within the agreed timeline causing project delays. The client requests changes beyond the agreed scope that were not included in the original brief. The project has been completed and final files or deliverables have been delivered to the client.
Revision Before Refund Request
Before any refund request is considered, Smart Tactics will always offer to resolve the concern through revisions within the agreed scope. We are committed to delivering work that meets the agreed brief and will work collaboratively with every client to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
If a concern arises with any deliverable, the client must communicate this in writing within 5 days of delivery. Concerns raised after this period will not be eligible for revision or refund consideration.
Final Payment
The remaining 50% balance is due before final files or deliverables are released to the client. Final payment is non-refundable once files have been delivered and the client has confirmed receipt.
Withholding final payment does not entitle the client to retain or use any deliverables produced by Smart Tactics. All work remains the intellectual property of Smart Tactics Inc. until full payment is received.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@smarttactics.com to be considered official. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted or processed.
Upon cancellation after commencement, Smart Tactics will invoice for all work completed to the date of cancellation. Any amount owed beyond the initial deposit will be due within 7 days of the cancellation invoice being issued.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute regarding a refund or project outcome, Smart Tactics is committed to resolving all concerns professionally and fairly. We encourage all clients to contact us directly at info@buildwithsmart.com before escalating any matter.
Smart Tactics will always seek a resolution that is fair, transparent, and aligned with the terms agreed upon at the start of the engagement.
